Geo-Spatial Analyst Engineer - St. Louis, MO
Job Title: Geospatial Analyst Job Code: GCSD10091001 Job Description: The Geospatial Analyst verifies suitability of geospatial data for further processing. Produce image- and vector-based map products utilizing a variety of GIS tools including Harris developed tools. Follows defined procedures and recommends process improvements to review and evaluate various data formats provided by the customer. The person in this position also ensures that data completes the assessment and validation processes in a timely manner in order to meet production goals. Communicates with NGA and Harris internal customers to resolve any data discrepancies. The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to: Determine the availability of source data for Harris production needs Perform visual review of all source data Confirm data integrity and the reliability Use of various scripts and software tools to plan, track, and implement source data workflow Update and maintain Source Status Spreadsheets Interpret customer specifications for geospatial products Provide employee and subcontractor training Perform troubleshooting Work with team to suggest and implement process improvements. Qualifications: BA/BS in Geography, Planning, or related field. To qualify for this position, you must posess a minimum of Five years experience working with or producing NGA geospatial data products. Digital imagery experience.. Must be knowledgeable in raster image principles, concepts and techniques. Good working knowledge of UNIX and NT environments, and Microsoft Excel and Access. DoD TS/SCI security clearance Additional preferred skills: Socet Set ArcGIS Dynamo ERDAS Imagine software This position requires the candidate to already possess an active TOP SECRET SCI clearance and to maintain the clearance.
