GIS Technical Specialist

This person will work on maps and presentations to obtain environmental permits and approval for various power projects, including transmission lines and gas pipelines. A degree in a relevant field of study, such as engineering, geography, environmental studies, or computer science is required, plus 4 to 8 years experience using GIS for planning and analysis. Experience with ArcGIS 9.x is required, and experience with other graphics programs would be a plus. Excellent research, problem solving, and communications skills are all required. Excellent benefits are offered. Although the work required will be nationwide, local candidates are preferred.
