The QA Analyst at Telvent Miner & Miner will focus on quality assurance through testing of internally developed software products. The QA Analyst will perform functional/enhancement testing and regression testing while following software testing principles and Telvent Miner & Miner testing procedures.

The QA Analyst will be expected to:
� Develop test plans composed of test scenarios and/or test cases for functional/enhancement testing as well as regression testing
� Follow established guidelines in the testing of software products
� Identify, report and manage the lifecycle of all software defects found
� Assist with technical support issues as needed
� Support technical marketing group as needed

� Be thorough, have good attention to detail, and display a high level of accuracy
� Be organized, enjoy troubleshooting and possess good problem solving skills
� Have the willingness and aptitude to learn new things at a relatively quick pace
� Be self-motivated and willing to work hard, but have some fun too
� Possess a basic understanding of the software development process
� Have excellent written and oral communication skills
� Be proficient with MS Office applications, MS Windows OS, and some basic windows utilities
� Possess a Bachelors degree or be working towards a degree

Preferred experience (but not required):
� BS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field with a computer emphasis
� ArcGIS
� Knowledge of programming design and/or languages
� Knowledge of database design and/or languages
� Prior test experience on personal and/or professional level


ORGANIZATION
The QA Analyst will work as part of the testing team within the product development team, and will report to the QA Manager for product tasks and direction.
