Senior GIS Analyst/Lab Supervisor
Essential Job Functions: ? Supervise Production team ? mange schedule, cost and quality ? Provide status reports to senior management ? Identify training needs and work with the Training staff to develop and administer training. ? Create and prepare maps, tables and graphic s for reports, PowerPoint presentations and other data products ? Select and process control points and geo-rectify image files or geo-reference raster files to an existing baseline date set ? Work with and translate between various map projection, datums and file formats. ? Collect geocode, analyze and process attributions and vector data ? Create, maintain and update GIS databases ? Create and maintain links between map files/attributes and other databases. ? Support training and workshops and provide customer technical assistance as required ? Provide information form GIS databases to EMS staff and clients ? Represent the organization as needed at meeting and other forums ? Prepare completed products for shipment/delivery via ftp, media or firewire ? Undertake other project and functions as needed. ? Keep the Director of Operations informed of project related issues and seek advice as needed ? Provide recommendations of process improvement and product innovations intended to streamline operations, improve communications and promote product/business development Required Skills: ? 7-10 years GIS or imagery experience ? GIS Professional with a Bachelor?s Degree in GIS, Geography, Agriculture, Photoimagary or Remote Sensing ? Project or Team leader in past or current employment ? Expert GIS Analyst with expert skills using ARC products ? Experience with upper level software: TNT Mips, PCI and Imagine ? Experience with rafters processing aircraft imagery ? Experience with multi spectral imagery ? Experience with technical writing in SML and HTML ? Successful track record supervising GIS technicians/analysts in data creation, conversion and enhancement projects ? Excellent written and verbal communication ? Exceptional professional and interpersonal skills. Able to stay calm in the face of adversity ? Proficient use of standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Desired skills: ?
