Telvent is seeking a Software Engineer in Fort Collins, CO to be responsible for development, quality assurance and support of custom software GIS applications used by electric, gas, water and wastewater utility clients. Job Description
This position will be primarily responsible for assisting in the design, development testing and documentation of GIS applications built on top of ESRI and Telvent Utility Group software solutions. Web, Desktop and Mobile applications are written exclusively in .NET (C#, WPF, Silverlight) Candidate will have work experience/knowledge developing end user applications with .NET


Position Requirements
• BS in Computer Science, MS in CIS (or related field with strong computer emphasis)
• Knowledge and application of object-oriented programming techniques.
• A demonstrated passion for improving software development abilities
• Good interpersonal communication, collaboration and organizational skills
• Familiarity with RDBMS technology
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices; team-based software development preferred
• Experience with ESRI software including ArcGIS Desktop, Engine and/or Server preferred
• Experience with test-driven development tools and practices preferred
• Knowledge of Electrical distribution systems preferred
• WPF experience a plus
