Position Summary & Major Responsibilities:

Telvent has a career opportunity for a motivated person to serve as Strategic Account Manager (SAM). The role of the SAM is to build long-term relationships for an assigned number of existing and prospective electric, gas, and water utility users within specific accounts. The SAM will help promote the ArcFM Solution and services to the utility and/or partners. The SAM must gain a thorough understanding of the clients’ needs for spatial asset management, design, outage management, and other enterprise applications and processes, and then help meet those needs with Telvent and partner technology and services. Telvent will provide training in the product line and strategic account relationship building techniques.


Education & Experience Preferred:

• BS in business management, engineering or related degree
• Knowledge of and experience in utilities
• Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• A desire to help organizations and individuals to use our technology to improve their businesses and compete successfully in the marketplace
• Ability to travel (about 50% of the time)
• Provide demo training and benchmark support business partners
• The ability to generate competitive strategies
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Strong work ethic
